The State Reportable Conditions Assessment (SRCA) is an annual, web-based assessment of reportable conditions. Ongoing since 2007, this joint effort by the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) collects publicly available information on what conditions are reportable in states, territories, and other large jurisdictions and who is required to report them. The SRCA is intended to be a publicly available, national repository of information that can be used by public health, researchers, and healthcare providers.  The reporting requirements are established by each jurisdiction’s laws and regulations.  CDC extracts SRCA data for the nationally notifiable infectious diseases and applies an algorithm to the categorical data to result in dichotomous data that populates the tables for the MMWR each year. Data from 2007-2010 SRCAs is available to view and download on the SRCA Query Results Webpage.
