States have noted that in the new NEDSS reporting environment, additional data are being requested by CDC. CSTE advised CDC that we would like to have input into what data fields are requested in the NEDSS message. In response, CDC has asked for formal CSTE review of the NEDSS versus legacy message and to provide feedback.
