Seasonal, Avian, and Pandemic Influenza Training Course

Developed by the North Carolina Center for Public Health Preparedness and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Influenza Division, Office of Global Health, and Office of Workforce and Career Development, and the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists, this training course is designed for public health workers who may be involved in a pandemic influenza response.

Guidelines for Minimum and Comprehensive State-based Public Health Activities in Occupational Safety

A joint collaboration between the CSTE Occupational Health Surveillance Workgroup and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).  The Guidelines provide a useful framework for building state and local capacity in public health programs in occupational safety and health.  They outline the minimum and essential components that should be in place in state and local public health programs, even with very limited resources, and describe functions and activities of a comprehensive program. HIV Surveillance Coordinator Orientation Manual

The HIV/AIDS subcommittee is excited to announce the new HIV Surveillance Coordinator Orientation Manual! This manual is intended for new and existing surveillance coordinators. It provides information on topics such as ‘What a new surveillance coordinator needs to know’, program monitoring and evaluation, about CSTE, and more.

CDC/CSTE Development of Applied Epidemiology Competencies

CSTE and CDC are pleased to release a newly developed toolkit to help epidemiologists and other public health practitioners understand and incorporate the CDC/CSTE Competencies for Applied Epidemiologists in Governmental Public Health Agencies (AECs) into everyday practice.
