Flu on Call™ is a joint initiative led by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in collaboration with CSTE, the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), United Way Worldwide, and other partners. Flu on Call™ is a national network of telephone help lines, staffed by information specialists and medical professionals, designed to be used during a severe influenza pandemic. The goals of Flu on Call™ are to: 1) improve access to antiviral medications, 2) provide an alternative to face-to-face provider encounters, and 3) reduce the surge of medical facilities during a severe pandemic.
