The Health Disparities Subcommittee conducted a pilot project with 13 state and local health departments in which participants analyzed large public health datasets for racial/ethnic and socioeconomic status (SES) disparities. Participants utilized the Public Health Disparities Geocoding Project (Harvard University) methodology for using area-based SES measures with public health surveillance data along with other CSTE resources and shared their experience with CSTE membership in addition to presenting their results at the 2013 CSTE Annual Conference.
