The Subcommittee is also charged with reviewing and developing national position statements on STI related topics, including standardized surveillance case definitions. The STI Subcommittee meets regularly to discuss current issues and overarching topics related to STI surveillance, such as best practices and lessons learned across jurisdictions for data analysis, diagnostic and laboratory issues, and working with private providers.
