CSTE Annual Awards - Submit Nominations by March 1, 2020

Each year, CSTE presents a series of awards that recognize excellence in applied epidemiology. The awards are presented at the CSTE Annual Conference. The following awards are open for public nomination according to specifications on the CSTE Awards webpage: 
    - Pumphandle Award - recognizes outstanding achievement in the field of applied epidemiology
 
    - Fellowship Alumnus Award - recognizes a former fellow for dedication and contributions to the field of applied epidemiology
 
    - Distinguished Leader Award - recognizes the efforts of a current CSTE subcommittee chair, liaison, or consultant who has provided exceptional guidance and leadership
 
    - Distinguished Partner Award - recognizes an individual or organizational unit who makes significant contributions to CSTE 
 
 
Nominations must be received by March 1, 2020. For the Pumphandle Award, Distinguished Leader Award, and Distinguished Partner Award, please send your nominations in a one-page letter to awards@cste.org. For the Fellowship Alumnus Award, please send your nomination in a one-page letter to Director of Workforce Development Amanda Masters. For each award, a panel will review nominations and either select the recipient(s) or recommend candidates for final selection by the CSTE Executive Board.

    - Jonathan Mann Memorial Lecturer - selected by the CSTE Executive Board for demonstrated leadership in public health
 
    - Hillary B. Foulkes Memorial Award - recognizes a graduating AEF fellow for work quality, motivation, interpersonal skills, and teamwork
 
    - Applied Epidemiology Fellowship Mentor of the Year Award - acknowledges the efforts of mentors in the Applied Epidemiology Fellowship program
 
    - Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Award for Outstanding Epidemiology Practice in Addressing Racial and Ethnic Disparities - recognizes a presenter who has made significant contributions for addressing racial and ethnic disparities and improving public health practice through effective use of data and epidemiology
 
    - Presidential Priorities Award - recognizes outstanding membership contributions to advance the current presidential priorities
 
    - Outstanding Poster Presentation Awards - recognizes the outstanding work of poster presenters with subject-specific awards for each CSTE steering committee
