2020 CSTE Executive Board Election Results Announcement

Monday, August 3, 2020
Thank you to those who participated in CSTE's 2020 Executive Board elections. The polls closed Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 11:59 pm EDT, and results have been verified by election tellers Sarah Park, Marcelle Layton and Janet Hamilton. The new Executive Board members are:

Ruth Lynfield, Minnesota: President-Elect
Kathy Turner, Idaho: Secretary-Treasurer
Stephanie Ayers-Millsap, Alabama: Member At-Large (Cross Cutting I)
Catherine Brown, Massachusetts: Infectious Disease Chair

These newly elected Board members join the current in-term members to comprise the full 10-member board, including:

Sherri Davidson, Alabama: President
Sharon Watkins, Pennsylvania: Vice President
Angela Dunn, Utah: Chronic Disease/Maternal & Child Health/Oral Health Chair
Melissa Jordan, Florida: Environmental Health/Occupational Health/Injury Chair
Kate Goodin, Tennessee: Surveillance/Informatics Chair
Ken Komatsu, Arizona: Member At-Large (Cross Cutting II)

This year, the traditional CSTE elections timeline was altered by the COVID-19 pandemic and cancellation of the 2020 Annual Conference. This was communicated to all members via email in June.

The 2020-2021 CSTE Executive Board will be sworn in virtually during the next Executive Board meeting on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. To view the new Executive Board, click HERE. CSTE would like to thank Sarah Park (HI), Marci Layton (NYC), Rich Danila (MN) and Barbara Gabella (CO), as they rotate off the Board. Their exemplary service to CSTE and time volunteered to the Executive Board is commended. We'd also like to again thank all candidates who sought election, and all members who participated in the election process. Your voices are important to CSTE’s continued mission and vision.
