Posted by: CSTE
The Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Data Science Team Training (DSTT) program.

The Data Science Team Training program is an opportunity for epidemiologists at public health agencies to gain data science skills through a project-based, on-the-job approach. DSTT is a 12-month program beginning in January 2023. The program includes online course instruction in data science fundamentals, peer to peer learning, and coaching from subject matter experts as participants work on a data science project at their agency. Teams of 3-5 should apply to work on a project building informatics or data science capacity within their health department. Participants should anticipate committing 5-8 hours per month to this program, distributed across engaging with course content, working on projects, and collaborating with peers.

Teams will need a letter of support from their agency as part of the application process. Health departments with all levels of data science and informatics capacity are encouraged to apply.

Start your DSTT application today! Applications are available through the website and are due by October 28, 2022. More details about the program and an informational webinar are available on the DSTT website.
