Please join CSTE for the next installment of our COVID-19 Response Membership Webinar Series on Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 3:00–4:00 pm EST, which will highlight the recently released “Interim CSTE and APHL Strategic Framework for SARS-CoV-2 Infection and COVID-19 Surveillance.” Participants will learn more about the newly released Interim CSTE and APHL Strategic Framework that was developed to guide SARS-COV-2 infection and COVID-19 surveillance at state, territorial, local, and tribal public health agencies. The framework provides a strategy for current, near-, and medium-term data needs given current resources, informs public health policy and prevention measures, and aims to reduce the inequitable impacts of the pandemic. Recommendations are provided for sustainable and flexible surveillance approaches built on existing capabilities, including a combination of core surveillance approaches and methods requiring specialized investigation at sentinel sites, to achieve five goals: - Track SARS-CoV-2 infections trends
  - Evaluate the severity of COVID-19
  - Monitor spread and detect and respond to SARS-CoV-2 infection outbreaks in vulnerable populations
  - Conduct and advance SARS-CoV-2 genomic surveillance
  - Share surveillance data and adapt risk communications
Call capacity is limited to 500 participants and is first-come, first-served. Call information is available below: CSTE COVID-19 Response Membership Series: Interim CSTE and APHL Strategic Framework for SARS-CoV-2 Infection and COVID-19 Surveillance
